Professionally Guided Sturgeon Fishing Trips

Catch and Keep fishing for sturgeon is very limited at this time. Be sure to subscribe to our email updates should the seasons open again in future years.

Catch and release fishing is good most of the year but the very best times are in May, June and July. I frequently host people from out of state who wish to enjoy this very special fishery.

Many of our fish are between four and 8 feet long and the action can be quite intense. Usually our catch is all white sturgeon but occasionally we do get a green sturgeon, which is really fun to see.

Typically Sturgeon are caught from an anchored boat with a bait on the bottom. The fun part is converting on the bite. The trick is to determine when they've bit it enough to where you can get a hook in the fish without spooking them. Try to set the hook too soon and they will drop the bait and swim away. It's fun to help people learn to do this. It's a great low pressure opportunity for brand new anglers to learn how to deal with multiple fish on at one time. It's very exciting.
